In this workshop we started building Utz K’s new hexagonal shaped communal center. We laid the center’s rock foundation, finished four of its six walls, built some exterior patio furniture and constructed a rocket mass heater for one of our neighbors. The techniques employed in the construction process were cob in various forms, rubble trench and stone stem walls, wattle and daub, earth bags, paper machete stained glass window making, natural plasters and paints, and bottle walls.
